My name is Desiree Brown, and I am a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Mind Management Coach, and Certified Havening Practitioner. I live in Te Kuiti in the King Country, New Zealand. I chose to train in Havening to complement my Mind Management Pre-Employment Program to introduce youth to the practice of Self-Havening.

Havening is an efficient and effective tool that can be used anywhere to remove worry and stress.  Havening Techniques® are based on the latest advances in neuroscience and are fast, effective, and fun. As part of the first session, I teach Self-Havening as it is easy for clients to do anytime and costs nothing.

As a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner, I can assist people in every aspect of their lives to create better outcomes both personally and professionally. Havening Techniques®  can be of great benefit if you want to increase your emotional intelligence, increase your focus at work.

Through the use of Havening Techniques® I enable clients to help deal with difficult emotions, move on from past traumatic events and integrate events like bereavement to heal and create the best version of themselves.  

Havening is a gentle, kind, and soothing technique and does not fail as it is based on neuroscience, I encourage anyone with anxiety or depression to try Havening Techniques®.

Havening Techniques® are soothing and relaxing creating a safe place to process any event or issue allowing a calm, safe feeling in the body and mind to be familiar again.  

My clients range from a 92-year-old gentleman with health anxiety to a 3-month-old baby who was unable to fall asleep. I taught her mother how to do the soothing havening touch on her baby.

I can also provide guided Self Havening as an option for those who require personal space due to experiencing a traumatic event. Sessions can be done in person or over Zoom making it even more accessible and it is just as effective as in-person sessions.

The Havening Technique® is a gentle yet powerful tool to rebuild resilience and self-worth. The Havening Technique® reduces, releases, and removes obstacles and fears that cause procrastination, defensiveness, anger, sadness, self-sabotage, and self-bullying.                                                                                                                 Havening will allow you a safe place in your mind and body to explore what is creating those feelings or actions consciously or unconsciously.

I have had 10 years of experience working in the social sector focusing my training on family violence, suicide prevention, suicide bereavement, and social justice. And I have seen how the Havening Techniques® can turn someone’s life around after years of repressed trauma within one or two sessions.
